Lately I have been trying to figure out general guidelines in terms of hard surface design – mainly to get myself to design those forms more freely, avoiding primitive box shapes. Somehow I have this irrational and limiting idea in my head that, in order for an object to be functional, it has to have a primitive shape. In reality, there's a huge variety of different shapes that can (and very often should) happen for functionality's sake. I might post my ponderings later on in this blog.

Also I'm slowly learning Fusion 360 as well. Got lots to figure out. Here's an unfinished sketch and a super simple render from tonight...
